I’m Ira Hines, a mortgage loan officer with over 27 years of experience helping people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. I’m proud to serve clients throughout the Hampton Roads, Middle Tennessee/Nashville, Outer Banks, and Florida markets, while helping buyers and homeowners across multiple states.

Over the years, I’ve built my business around one simple thing: being the person people can actually count on when things get stressful. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer trying to make sense of the process, a veteran using VA benefits they earned, a family relocating, or a realtor trying to hold a complicated deal together — I believe communication, honesty, and problem-solving still matter.

I work with buyers across all stages of life, from first homes to second homes and investment properties, and I’m especially passionate about educating clients so they feel confident instead of overwhelmed. I also love helping real estate agents find solutions that make difficult transactions smoother, cleaner, and more competitive in today’s market.

Outside of mortgages, you’ll usually find me with my husband Nick, our two golden retrievers Cash and Poncho, playing pickleball, working on house projects, or enjoying time near the water whenever possible.

At the end of the day, I never wanted this business to feel transactional. I wanted people to feel like they had someone in their corner who genuinely cared — and that’s still how I approach every loan today.
